Remarkable Women

Marie Curie
Marie Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the only person who to win twice in multiple sciences (Chemistry and Physics). Her personal effects, including her clorthes, furniture, and laboratory notes remain contaminated by radiation, and will be radioative for another 1500 years!! A true sacrifice for science!
Amelia Earhart
Amelia Earhart wass the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the first person to fly over both Atlantic and Pacific. She learned to fly when she was 24, and was the 16th woman to be issued a pilot's license. She disappeared during a record attempt to fly around the world at the equator. She was only 40.
Amelia Earhart
Iron Lady
Margaret Thatcher was a chemist before she become a barrister. She was currently the only female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. She said she was more proud of becoming the first Prime Minister with a science degree than the first female Prime Minister.
